There are so many flowers in the world that are very rare. It can not be seen easily. Similarly a flower is "Cereus greggii".

They bloom once a year and they also bloom in the night. So they are called "Nightblooming Cereus". They usually bloom in the summer night. This white flower blooms mostly on a single night in the June / July period.

Its scientific name- "Peniocereus greggii ".

The height of flowers is usually 7 feet or 2.1 meters, one flower height is 8 inches and width is 4 inches. The fruit of it's is 7.6 cm. It has long dark red color.

The flower's patels are light pink or cream white . The flowers are not only beautiful at a very imposing level but also spread wonderful fragrant at night. It's other names are Desert Nightblooming cereus, Queen of the Night, Reina de la noche etc.

In honor of American naturalist Josiah Gregg, the name of the flower is named. This Cereus greggii has a large collection of Arizona's Tohono Chul in Tucson.

This botanical garden is open from 6:00 pm to midnight for a night in the summer every year, so that everyone can see this flower.The night is called the Bloom Night. It is lost after a few hours of blooming or before 9am in the morning.
Interestingly, in a particular area, the flowers are blown together at the same time, and they are lost at the same time. But these flowers have not yet appeared in Bangladesh.
